Light Quake Shakes Fontana A magnitude 2.3 earthquake struck near Fontana (about 12 miles from Eastvale) at 7:33 PM on Thursday, January 22. While minor, the shallow depth meant residents across the Inland Empire reported feeling a brief, weak shake. No damage or injuries were reported. Walmart Supercenter Now Open! The wait is over! The brand-new Walmart Supercenter at 14100 Limonite Ave. officially opened its doors on January 15, 2026. Local traffic patterns are shifting around the Limonite corridor as shoppers flock to the new hub. The store has already brought approximately 300 new jobs to our community. Eastvale Civic Center Construction Update Construction is officially in motion for the new Eastvale Civic Center on Bootsma Boulevard. This transformative project will eventually house a new City Hall, a state-of-the-art Library, and a Police Station. Expect to see heavy equipment and perimeter fencing as work continues toward an early 2028 completion date. 📅 Marking the Calendar Happening This Weekend
