Sheriff Launches Election Probe — Eastvale's Own Police Force Is in the Middle of It
The Riverside County Sheriff's Office (RSO) — which provides Eastvale's law enforcement — confirmed Wednesday it is investigating alleged election irregularities in last November's special statewide election. The probe was triggered by a local group called the Riverside Election Integrity Team (REIT), which claims there is a discrepancy between ballots cast and ballots counted. The county's Registrar of Voters disputes the scale, saying the actual gap is only 103 ballots. The Board of Supervisors, County Executive Office, and Registrar are all cooperating.

Walmart Supercenter Is Open — And It's Changing Limonite Traffic
The 170,000-sq-ft Walmart Supercenter at 14100 Limonite Ave. has been open since January 14 and is now fully woven into the daily commute pattern. It created about 300 local jobs and features a pharmacy, vision center, fuel station, and delivery as fast as one hour. This is Walmart's first Eastvale location and part of the company's "Store of the Future" concept.

Editorial Note on Sourcing
All stories in this briefing have been fact-checked against primary sources. Two items from the original draft — an unverified trash truck fire on Limonite and an unverified 60 Freeway pileup — were removed because no corroborating news sources could be found. We don't report things we can't confirm.
